Major Shake-Up Tinubu Sacks BPP DG Mamman Ahmad

President Bola Tinubu has ordered Mr. Mamman Ahmadu to resign from his position as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). This announcement was made by the presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday.
The statement mentioned that this change is part of a larger effort to improve the efficiency and transparency of the public procurement system.
The Director-General is to hand over his duties to the most senior officer in the Bureau until a new Director-General is appointed.
The President expressed gratitude to Ahmadu for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Additionally, President Tinubu has appointed Mr. Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi as the new Director-General of the BPP.
Mr. Gbeleyi is a highly respected financial expert and award-winning chartered accountant. He is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
He has also completed executive programs at the London Business School, Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Lagos Business School.
According to Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the new BPP head has over 30 years of experience in various sectors, including manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), investment and commercial banking, project finance, telecommunications, infrastructure, and public administration.
