Lagos Eid Celebration Sees Attendance of Tinubu and Other Leaders
President Bola Tinubu, along with the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, former Governor Babatunde Fashola, and Dangote Chairman Aliko Dangote, joined many Muslims to pray for Eid in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Other notable people at the Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Ikoyi included the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, former lawmaker Gbenga Ashafa, and former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji.
Eid-el-Kabir is a Muslim festival celebrated worldwide on the 10th day of the Islamic month Dhual-Hijjah.
The President arrived at the Eid prayer ground around 8:55 am on Sunday, welcomed by cheers from worshippers who gathered to pray and see him.
Earlier, the President had encouraged Nigerians to think about the meaning and importance of Eid-el-Kabir for the nation.
